In mid-March, my brother and I, along with his girlfriend went out to Hungarian Falls, a local series of waterfalls.
This is one of the pictures of the middle falls, where the water had frozen into formations.
This weekend, I set one up for the MTU LUG. I’m using Mediawiki, which was a pretty easy setup. You can download an install from that page, and it’s available in apt for Ubuntu. Install directions are also available.
The really nice thing is that you can edit the mysql database to do things that you can’t through the wiki’s web interface. (It’d be nicer if you could simply do it through the interface though). What you have to do in the database are things like:
If you’re interested in setting up a wiki, and the install docs aren’t enough, or you need help with something, let me know.
Hoary was released today, if you run Ubuntu, read the release notes and fire up synaptic or apt!
Need help? Leave a comment or send me an email and I’ll do my best.
amaroK is a KDE music app that is reminiscient of iTunes or Rhythmbox, but with more features. It tells you when you last played a song, when it was first played, how many times it has been played, and even recommends other songs based on what you’re listening to.
To install amaroK for Ubuntu, here’s what you need to do:
sudo apt-get install amarok amarok-xine
Awesome Firefox wallpaper. I’m using it on the desktop and laptop.
