I’ve driven over 1,000 miles in the past few days and have had a wonderful time. From Houghton, I hit East Lansing, Madison Heights, Auburn Hills (and then back to East Lansing) before heading to see my parents in Rose City (where I’ll be until Saturday).
Many thanks to Jess and Melissa in Lansing, Chris in Madison Heights (who has tempted me with the Xbox 360) and Kattni in Auburn Heights for putting me up and entertaining me. If any of you feel like getting up to the North Country, let me know.
Pictures will be on flickr once I get off dial-up.
Today, Kevin, Peter and I went to the to of Brockway Mountain (none of us had been there before). The view from the top is absolutely amazing. You can see out over the water and the land for miles.
Later that evening, Brian, Barbara, Susan, Kevin, Kaylyn, Peter, Betsy and I all went out to Gay for a bonfire.
So, yesterday Houghton got hit by a pretty big snowstorm, and I pulled the last couple of days of time-lapsed video from MTU’s webcams. Check it out.
I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving. Who can’t love a holiday that revolves around food, family and football?
Once again, winter has come to Houghton. For about three days now, the snow has been steadily falling. Just in time for the drive home naturally. Here’s a picture of our back yard.
